Packaging ATCs

Never throw packaging out .................words I have used on numerous occasions but my DH heard them .......... at least once!!!
When the parcel was delivered, he showed me the packaging and suggested I would be able to use it on some way........... I thought ATC.

The packaging 'au nature'l is on the left.  I used double sided tape on a base and then added the packaging, using three bases in a line and then snipped them apart.

I covered all three bases with brown acrylic paint and left to dry. Using yellow and some gold paint I tried some free hand painting, covering just the larger areas of the packaging and put to one side to dry.

Meanwhile I sorted some stencils out and decided I would use the flowers so I stencilled some yellow flowers on the first ATC.  Success.  Onto number two ....... finding a kit 'donated' by my daughter, I stencilled a butterfly and some daisies in gold.  I stencilled a blue rose onto the top corner of the third stencil and put them all to dry.  The next day I added some pieces of dried glue to the surface to the butterfly and some of the glitter dried glue to the free hand ATC.

More ATCs were made and then painted in the primary colours and green ...... the only colours I had in this type of paint.  It is a matt paint but I didn't realise until it had dried!!

I used various stencils and the colours available in N's kit.  I still have some plain ones to finish ......... in fact I don't really know how I will finish them .......... no doubt the idea will come to me in the middle of the night!!!

Since this picture was taken I have clear varnished three of them to add a bit of shine.
