WOYWW #394

What'sOnYourWorkdeskWednesday - if you want to find out more then checkout the WOYWW tab at the top of the page - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting this weekly meet up.
This is the 'Have a great Christmas, one with plenty of hugs and laughter.  If you can't have one of those then have one with plenty of food, drink and warmth' edition!!

.... and the days flew past so quickly that before they knew it .... all had returned to the same old..... same old .....

I hope my days will not return to same old, same old ......

This is the desk .....

...... loaded with STORAGE BOXES.

Someone had a birthday and guess what she asked for!!
I am determined that my room will be tidier next year so I chose the boxes and I have already started reducing down - two mushroom baskets have been cleared.
Thank goodness it's recycling next week!

I have not started to fill any of the boxes yet because I hit a problem when trying to clear these shelves .........

Some of those blue mushroom baskets contain plastic takeaway boxes full of ribbons, but my new boxes will only hold about four of those plastic boxes so I am searching for a new way of storing my ribbons - or at least a way that doesn't involve mushroom baskets!!!
Those baskets worked fine in my smaller room, looked rather neat on the shelves but now .......... messy!

I hope that 2017 will be a much more peaceful year for us all, happier and healthier .......

  6. Hi Christine. Great looking boxes. Amazing how one thing leads to another, isn't it??? And before you know where you are, the original ideas have flown out of the windows... oh dear! Well, that's my experience with trying to tidy up anyway. I have been known to use bulldog clips for ribbons - I managed to find some really funky coloured ones - now all I need are some hooks to hang them on!
Thanks for the visit already, and for your comment. Take care. have a very special Christmas. God bless.

  7. Great boxes Christine, I have three of those but can't think where I got them from though I think it might be one of the supermarkets, could do with a few more. Have fun and Merry Christmas, Angela xXx 14

  8. Great present! I love storage boxes. I just have trouble remembering what I put in them or I can't remember why I grouped certain things together. I don't seem to be much good at putting labels on things lol.

    Hope you get organised!

    Happy holidays

  10. Great gift idea, the re-organising will be worth it in the long run. For now, your space makes me feel OH so MUCH better about mine!!! Although with it being the living room it is a tad much at this time of year... good job I am not expecting any visitors over the break. Have a very Happy Christmas and here is to a New Year (who knows what kind)!! Helen #1

  11. Hi Christine, I keep my ribbons in large clear zip wallets. I keep ribbons I bought on cards in a box. I use to keep loose ribbons on bulldog clips, hanging on a hook.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  12. Looks like your room is in need of some serious tidying indeed! Those boxes are just the ticket! I've got one of those tall plastic drawer units from HobbyCraft and I'm thinking I could really do with another one, though I tend to just chuck things in them. Thanks for visiting Christine! Best Christmas wishes to you and your family as well! zsuzsa #20

  13. Hiya Christine ... thanks so much for popping by my blog this week - such a crazy, busy time so it was appreciated. Am taking a few minutes to catch my breath and wander around blogland. Storage is a headache, isn't it?!?!? I keep tweaking and altering mine (can never find anything post-tweak mind you!) but am never quite happy with it ... shan't give up though and will, eventually, happen on a system that works for me. Had to giggle at your "mushroom baskets" - I wondered what on earth they could be and scrutinised your photo's for a glimpse ... then I spotted them and they are just that - mushroom baskets!!!! Happy sorting and wishing you a very merry Christmas. Love to you, Debbie xXx

  15. Sometimes I think I am as addicted to boxes as I am to everything else in my craft room that goes in them. Trouble is I buy boxes that I like the look of and then they don't stack or anything like that, but they look pretty.
Wishing you all the best for the Christmas Season and wishing you a Very Happy and New Year.
`Hugs, Neet (thanks for visiting me the other day)

  16. Ah crafty organisation truly is a personal thing. I have a ribbon drawer and store my ribbons colour coded is smal plastic ziplock bags. Then when need arises .... just find the colour and choose. 😄
Works for me, and my rolls are stored in an adapted spice rack of four rows that my father made for their kitchen but didn't work .. so I scored.
Am sure you'll find just the right one for you Christine.
Blessings of our Lord upon you as we remember Jesus' birthday and a happy, healthy 2017.
